Probably the most important part of the PackStar system is the intake section. Here PackStar will record and label pallets onto the system. The pallet tickets that are produced here will stay with the pallet throughout it’s lifetime in the packhouse. The intake system is driven using a touchscreen and has big buttons which makes it very easy to follow even if the users first language is not English.

At any stage, management can scan the pallet label with a handheld device and find out it’s entire history since it came onto the system.

PackStar’s line management tools gives the users the ability to plan and control what goes on to the production lines. When a task is set up on the line the fork lift drivers are given suggestions of which pallets to collect and where they can be found in the packhouse. This way older stock will be suggested but not enforced unless required.

PackStar implements a robust ordering system that some may compare to sage. Our customers prefer the speed and ease of use compared to our rivals. Any order placed on the PackStar system will automatically inform intake of its impending arrival.

Packstar allows management to estimate what it’s staff or external growers will be providing on a given day. This allows intake to see what is expected and inform management if lesser or greater numbers arrive.

Packstar allows management to see at a glance what their stock is for a particular product and compare it to their sales. This is a rolling 7-14 day plan which allows management to identify any potential shortfalls in stock with what is planned to be picked/bought in.

PackStar’s reports are incredibly powerful and in-depth. There are a number of standard reports ranging from Stock Levels and Locations through QC results to Despatched Items.

All reports are completely customisable and most reports support charting. The levels of detail really have to be seen to be believed.
